Spoke words are formed by reading letters from the centre hub outward along any of the eight radial spokes. The letters must be on consecutive rings. Words must be at least three letters long. If the hub letter is part of the word, you earn an extra +2 points on top of the base score.

Arc words are formed by consecutive letters on the same ring. Rotate the ring until three or more adjacent letters spell a valid English word. Arc words can be between three and seven letters long.

In Daily Gyral, every time you release a ring and it snaps to a new position, that counts as one spin. You have ten spins per Daily game — use them carefully. In Rush mode, there is no spin limit.

A word won't score if it has already been found in the current game, if it isn't in our dictionary, or if it's fewer than three letters long. The game uses a curated English dictionary — some uncommon words, proper nouns, and abbreviations may not be included. We're always expanding the word list.

Complete the Daily Gyral on consecutive days to build your streak. If you miss a day, the streak resets to zero. Your current streak and best-ever streak are displayed on the home screen. Streaks are tracked locally on your device.

No — each Daily Gyral can only be completed once. The same board is shared with all players on the same calendar day, so replays would undermine the challenge. A new board appears at midnight each day.

Your stats are saved locally on your device. They can be lost if you uninstall the app, clear its data, or restore your device without restoring app data. Unfortunately we have no server-side backup of your personal stats. We recommend enabling iCloud or Google Drive backups to preserve them.

Yes — Gyral works fully offline. The word list and daily board seed are built into the app, so no internet connection is required to play. Rush mode and Daily Gyral are both fully available offline.

Gyral is available on iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later, and on Android devices running Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later. The app is optimised for portrait orientation.

No. Gyral collects no personal data whatsoever. There is no account, no login, no analytics, and no advertising. All game data is stored only on your device. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
